Heritage can include anything that people value and want to pass on to future generations. For example, we can help groups with funding to research the history of their local high street, or restore an historic building or monument, like an existing war memorial. Heritage Lottery Fund also give funds to help record memories, undertake small archaeological digs, digitise archives and we can help with improvements and displays for wildlife sites.

Grants include support for First World War, repair of listed church buildings and a small community funding programme offering £3,000-£10,000.

Heritage Lottery Fund have recently funded two local archive groups, East Tilbury Scouts, and an archaeology project as well as the project pictured on the flyer run by the Friends of Concorde Beach.
