29 Sept – ARTS AWARD Adviser training in Colchester
There is curently no place in Southend offering the Arts Award for young people so this is your chance to train as an Adviser for your organisation. The scheme can work in a variety of settings and can be used by teachers and youth workers, for example.
Forthcoming Bronze & Silver Arts Award Adviser training is held in Colchester on 29th September ( for other dates and places, see their website below). This training to deliver Arts Award at Bronze & Silver level is a one day course and costs £135, which includes lunch and a copy of the “Toolkit for Arts Award Advisers”.

Arts Award works to support young people (11-25 years) who want to deepen their engagement with the arts, build creative and leadership skills, and to achieve a national qualification. Arts Award can be based around any arts or media activity, and can be completed it in a wide variety of settings – like youth clubs, arts centres, schools, colleges, theatres or community groups.
There are no entry requirements, no time limit for completing the award, and no set rules on presenting the final work. The award builds confidence, helps young people to enjoy cultural activities, and prepares them for further education or employment.
