Fri 14 March – DIRTY WATER live @ Riga Music Bar
This is how they describe themselves:
“Dirty Water consists of a group of travelling salesmen who every so often play drunken songs for unsuspecting audiences across the land. Harping back to their influences from their perceived roots, a bit of punk and some lovely melodies – carelessly slaughtered throughout the evening- they like to reenact the Repeal of the Licensing laws and the Battle of Brisbane with such gusto that sometimes the Lead Singer Spider Soar is overcome with emotion and has to exit stage right.
“The band grows and changes in size like a a man hoarding potatoes. The current line up features, the old timers – The Leader – Sean Mcloughlin on Bass, Chocolate on Leader Guitar, Fingers one and two on the fiddle, The robbers on penny whistle and backing vocals, Mr Roman Jugg on the Accordion and Martin the Sticks and Griff Grifter the banjo player (sadly not with them tonight), the one and only De do Ron, Don Don, de do Ron Don.
The band are only let out to play on special occasions, so the show this weekend will be a rare time to join in, play Irish and dress like a leprechaun.
“A word of warning … don’t buy their products they don’t work. Tinkers everyone of them.”
A well established and popular local band with an Irish feel to help to start your St Patrick’s Day celebrations at Riga Music Bar Friday 14th March – onstage 9pm.
