24-28 June – THE MISER by Moliere @ The Palace
The old skinflint Harpagon has decided it’s time to marry off his children.
He hates his son Cleante , a wastrel and a spendthrift and his daughter Élise is madly in love with Harpagon’s servant, Valère.
Harpagon, however, has already decided to take Mariane for his own wife but she is already betrothed to his son!
Chris Linatt-Scott plays The Miser and introducing Tom Mann as Cleante. All the regular Lindisfarne players are featuring with cameos throughout the play.
This hilarious farce is set in the 17th Century when it was written by this great French playwright and promises to be a lot of fun and frolics for the audience.
