Fri 10 May – Plantman / Phil Burdett / Little Donkeys @ The Alex
A joint gig at the Alex.
Plantman is Matt Randall and Adam Radmall, friends and two fiths of indie stalwarts beatglider. Formed through fragments of four track recordings the duo decided to polish the tracks and record an album. Plantman beats with a big indie heart, a love of trebly guitars, nature, mixtapes and most of all melody are at the core of this music.
Essex-based singer/songwriter Phil Burdett‘s By The Time I Get to Tommorrow album was desribed as ‘undeniably personal… also hugely thought-provoking… His vocals, alternately gnarled and tender, are hugely evocative.’
Not to be confused with the biblical ass of Bethlehem, Little Donkey are a three piece folk-rock outfit hailing from Chelmsford. They are Undiscovered 2013 winners and The Panic Awards 2013 Best Band Winners.
