Breathless Dowser | Max Prus: EXHIBITION LAUNCH @ OLD WATERWORKS
3rd February – 4th March
Opening 6-9pm 3rd February
On the 24th of January 1788 the First Fleet arrived at Botany Bay to found the penal colony that became the first European settlement in Australia. 229 years later, Max Prus will bring a selection of paintings to show for the first time at Winch Gallery in The Old Waterworks.
The exportation of criminals to a foreign land might be seen by some as a selfish act. Painting might also be described as selfish.
For the exhibition ‘Breathless Dowser’, music and refreshments will be available to experience amongst the paintings.
