Marvelous Mosaic: MAKING WORKSHOPS EVERY TUESDAY FROM 6TH JUNE (DONATIONS NEEDED)
– MOSAIC MATERIAL DONATIONS WANTED –
As part of the Art and Heritage Days programme, we will be inviting everybody to help create a 3D mosaic area to be installed in the grounds of The Hub. The cover photo is The Little Chapel, Guernsey. It’s the worlds smallest consecrated church with much of it made from crockery, glass, shells and other items donated by the public, it’s a true community built church.
We love this concept and would like to make our own version of it.. And we need your help. We would like to ask for donations of material for a mosaic garden area that we will be creating in a series of 8 public sessions where eveyone is welcome to join in.(dates tbc) Materials can include crockery, glass pebbles, shells, buttons, or anthing you can think up that’d work for mosaic. These can be dropped off at The Hub during opening hours. The more we get, the more we can make, and have a truly stunning public artwork in the community made by the community. Thank you!
***NOTE- these dates are the drop off period for donations – making workshops schedule TBC***
