Signals Media Centre workshops 11-16 @ The Forum
If you are aged between 11 and 16 and interested in Animated Film Making Southend Library has a fantastic offer of FREE workshops with Signals Media Arts Centre (www.signals.org.uk) coming up starting this Thursday at The Forum: Southend-on-Sea.
Signals will be running 2 x two-day workshops with spaces for 15 young people per workshop with an aim to output two to four animations.
You will explore different animation techniques in this two-day workshop where you can re-imagine classic stories from literature to create your own mini film. Learning a range of animation techniques and using industry standard software.
The finished films will be shown on the Big Screen in the square outside The Forum: Southend-on-Sea.
The workshops will run 10am-1pm starting with Thursday 31st July & Monday 4th August and again on 27th & 28th August.

These workshops are part of ImagiNation, a reading and creative arts summer challenge created by Libraries, young people and artists in ten authorities in the East of England and supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England (http://www.artscouncil.org.uk/).
Everyone aged 11-16 can join the challenge from 12th July. Visit your library and collect your free ImagiNation Log, read books of your choice and share your creative ideas. See what other young people have been creating at www.imaginationeast.org.uk.
